Category Definitions:


Academic: Schools, centers, or institutes with an academic mission.


Advocacy: Organizations or institutions whose activities include advocacy for a population or issue.


CBPR: Centers or organizations engaged in or providing information on community-based participatory research (CBPR).


Community: Sites with a local-level (neighborhood or community) orientation.


Environment: Sites whose content or focus includes the environment.


Funding: Sites which include information on funding opportunities. Please note that this is not a complete list of funding opportunity sites. For more information, please refer to the Funding Sources page of this site.


GIS: Sites which offer geographical information system or mapping resources.


Government: An agency or institute under a federal, state, or local government (e.g. NIH).


Health care: Sites whose content for focus includes health care.


Listserv: Sites which offer listservs.


Literature: Sites with links to publications or sites which offer publications related to health disparities.


Minority: Sites whose content or focus includes minorities and women.


Organizations: Non-governmental organizations, not including academic centers or institutes (see Academic).


Policy: Organizations or institutes whose activities include policy analysis on a population or issue.


Research: Institutes or centers engaged in research.


RIMI: Research Infrastructure at Minority Institutions (RIMI) programs at other universities.


San Francisco: Sites with information directly pertaining to the San Francisco Bay Area.


Training: Sites which include information on professional development opportunities.
