Research >> Faculty Projects

An emphasis of RIMI2 is to increase and to enhance the research opportunities for our faculty and students by developing, in conjunction with research-intensive institutions, collaborative research projects with a focus either on health disparities among ethnic groups or on significant research by underrepresented minority faculty.

Among the objectives are:

  • for SF State faculty to gain experience in developing and managing highly productive research programs, and
  • for SF State undergraduate and graduate students to work alongside doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows, and to obtain from them an understanding of the requirements for success in competitive doctoral programs as well as to develop the confidence to seek satisfying careers in the biomedical sciences.
